Yes, it is true. My favorite Ryan Avery band is indeed Night Wolf. It’s fun, it’s wild, it’s everything that is right about Ryan Avery and the brothers Jemsek.
Sure Father’s Day is fun as is The Boys as is everything else that Ryan does. But, Night Wolf is the perfect storm. In the documentary Hi My Name Is Ryan Ryan said something to the effect of Night Wolf being the band that gets to do all of the ideas that are too stupid for the other bands. Beautiful! Truly beautiful! He doesn’t even care about Night Wolf and sometimes he rolls his eyes and sighs before he speaks about it. He has no ego invested in this band. The material that comes out because of this is always entertaining 100% of the time. Father’s Day is good for jumping around and shaking the caffeine out of your system, but Night Wolf makes you think, enjoy, dance, scream, imagine, and spiritually grow all at the same time.
I first saw Night Wolf at the old Willow House on 3rd Ave and McDowell. They changed Maricopa County and a part of Eloy that night. Thank you. Thank you, Ryan. Thank you, Andrew. Thank you, Tristen.
When the sun goes down and the moon comes out… NIGHT WOLF aaaaoooooooooo!
