MiniMix 3 - The Ryan Avery Salvation

Hey there ladies and gentleman,

My name is tk and I’ve been a friend of the Trunk Space’s for a while/couple years now. If you’ve been to the Trunk Space in the last couple years, you have probably seen one of Ryan Avery’s projects.

Every week, I do my part in putting together a podcast for The Planet Awesome, a podcast whose intent is to spread positivity and expanding musical horizons (, among many other projects). I handed the reigns over to Ryan over the weekend and thought I’d share the results with you.

You can click here to stream the file or right click on the link and depending on your browser, save it to your computer. It is also available in the iTunes Store, listed as the most recent podcast.

Have an awesome week! :-)
Be sure to check out all the awesome shows happening at the Space this week!

(ps. I will hopefully be making more of these with other musicians/bands that you have seen performed at the space, so check for it!)

Casiotone for the Painfully Alone on July 25th!

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

<br>”The sound of Casiotone recalls the spooky, lo-fi years of His Name Is Alive, the dark mood of later-era Tom Waits, and the melodic hyperactivity of legendary Eighties one-man outfit the Silicon Teens. Ashworth’s lyrics capture the soul of the loser in love. Woe is the guy who screws up the right opportunity to talk to the pretty girl he spies at the supermarket (“Rice Dream Girl” from Casiotone’s self-released debut, Answering Machine Music: A Brief Album in Twelve Parts).” –The Miami Times.
